Our routes

Eastern Route - Monday

The Eastern Route includes Black Point, Whatanihi, Inner Pelorus Sound, Nydia, Hopewell Lodge, Jacobs Bay, Homewood, Hopai Bay, Crail Bay and Four Fathom Bay.

Western Route - Wednesday

The Western Route includes Paradise Point, Nydia Bay, Northwest Bay, Tira Ora Bay, Wilson Bay, Maud Island, Jacobs Bay and Homewood.

Outer Route - Friday

The Outer Sounds Route includes Inner Pelorus Sound, Pohuenui Island, Whakatahuri, Forsyth Island, Port Ligar, Bulwer, Homewood, Tui Nature Reserve and Hopewell Lodge.

Unique Route - Sunday (runs Jan - Apr)

On our Sunday cruise we are not bound by where the mail needs to go, so we combine all the good parts of our other routes, look at the weather and take a unique route for that day. Skipper's choice.

The Pelorus Mail Boat postie run departs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am.

The Sunday Scenic Cruise departs at 10am on Sundays in summer only (Jan-Apr).

Check-in time for all cruises is 9.30am.

The return time for all cruises is 4.30pm, approx.

Afternoon arrival times may vary depending on the number of deliveries on the mail route that day.

All cruises depart from Pier B, Havelock Marina, Havelock, Marlborough.
